Stryker at Engineering Career Fair!
My name is Chris Cook and I’m a University Recruiter for Stryker which is a global leader in Medical Technology. Stryker and the University of Michigan have a long lasting partnership with many former Wolverines working here at the company. I’m reaching out to you today as our team will be on campus next Monday the 12th for the SWE/TBP Engineering Career Fair that will take place from 10AM-5PM. We would love to meet as many of your GEECS members as possible as we have a variety of summer internships and graduate rotational programs available. Many of our functional areas fall within R&D, New Product Design, Quality and Manufacturing just to name a few. There are many other functional areas that I think your members could be a great fit for and we would love to discuss them at the career fair.
Co-Next Career Fair!
The Co-Next Career Fair is an annual women-only career fair that helps female students connect with women working in a variety of industries. This year, the companies include Capital One, PwC, KPMG, and more. I would love to invite the women of GEECs to attend Co-Next!
This is a great way for girls from all majors to network and have one-on-one time with representatives from big companies. All attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a fireside chat with Professor Mary Hinesly to resolve any questions they have about navigating the professional world.
The career fair is on Thursday, September 15th and the deadline to register is 11:59 PM on September 14th.

Capgemini Consulting Recruiting
My name is Grace Park, and I am from the Class of 2020. One thing I was looking forward to after graduating from U-M was the thought of coming back and helping students in their career job application process.
This year, I am representing Capgemini Invent as a Consultant. Capgemini Invent is a management consulting company focused on strategy, solution development, and execution. The job positions are in major cities of Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, New York, and San Francisco, which you can state your preference during the application process. We will be at the Finance and Consulting Career Fair on Thursday 9/8/22 and the Engineering Career Fair on Tuesday 9/13/22, and we’d love to meet you and share more about Capgemini Invent and our opportunities. We are recruiting for full-time positions for the undergraduate level for our Associate Consultant position and for the graduate level for our Senior Consultant position.
I have attached our flyer regarding the events we will be attending at University of Michigan. In it, you will find icons and links to the applications, website, and Linq page to view the recruiters who will attend the career fairs.
I have really enjoyed my 1.5 years here, and I’m excited to help recruit students from U-M! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like to know more about Capgemini Invent.
Lunch with Dr. Clara Brodley
CSE project initiative RENEW-CS is hosting Dr. Carla Brodley, Director of the Center for Inclusive Computing, in Ann Arbor on Friday, October 7. Professor Brodley is inviting women and non-binary undergraduate students to lunch on the 7th, 12-1 pm, to talk about their experiences in CSE or taking CS courses. Students need not be declared CS majors (they just need to have experience taking courses at CSE), and UM staff and faculty will not be present at the meeting.
Professor Carla E. Brodley is the Dean of Inclusive Computing at Northeastern University, where she serves as the founding Executive Director for the Center for Inclusive Computing, a national initiative funded by Pivotal Ventures, to increase the representation of women graduating with degrees in computing. Dr. Brodley served as Dean of Khoury College from 2014-2021. During her tenure as Dean, the representation of women majoring in computing increased from 19% to 32%.
If you'd like to attend, RSVP at the link below. We hope you can attend!
